The following is a list of useful carving focused publication resources.


Newsletters - Monthly newsletter from the Oregon Carvers Guild. These include upcoming classes, programs, events, shows, club business, and useful information from regional clubs. 

Woodcarving Illustrated - A commercial publication, arguably the most popular carving hobbyist magazine in the U.S. today. Great resource for wood carvers with many patterns and step-by-step articles on a wide variety of related subjects. Publication is issued four times a year, highlighting seasonally related topics (eg. Fall - Halloween and Thanksgiving, Winter - Christmas). The magazine is delivered through subscription. 

Chip Chats Magazine - Published by the National Wood Carvers Association (NWCA). Has a wealth of information about U.S. clubs and carving shows calendars. The vast majority of content is from various carving clubs, club sponsored shows and notable carvers in America. The magazine subscription includes both the magazine and membership in the Chip Chats organization.
